Event Description:
Want to help bring fun, resources, and food support to families in East Harris County? Join us at the ELQN Community Carnival & EHCEC Food Distribution! This exciting community event will provide families with engaging activities and essential food assistance. We are looking for approximately 5 dedicated volunteers to help us prepare for and support this impactful event. Your time and energy will help ensure families have a welcoming and positive experience.
Event Details:
Event: ELQN Community Carnival & EHCEC Food Distribution
Date: Saturday, March 7, 2026
Volunteer Commitment Time: 9:00 am – approximately 1:00 pm
Event Time (Open to Families): 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location: Galena Park Resource and Training Center

Volunteers are expected to arrive promptly at 9:00 am for event preparation and a brief run-through of details prior to kickoff. Volunteers will assist through approximately 1:00 pm to help with breakdown and cleanup after families leave the event.
What Volunteers Do:
● Assist with event setup and preparation prior to kickoff
● Participate in a brief run-through of event logistics and responsibilities
● Support food distribution efforts
● Help manage activity stations during the carnival
● Greet and assist families throughout the event
● Assist with event breakdown and cleanup
Volunteers should be mindful that they will be interacting with families throughout the duration of this event and are expected to maintain a friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor.
