East Harris County Empowerment Council, in partnership with Prevention Institute, is seeking volunteers to support a Youth Listening Session as part of the Hogg Foundation’s landscape scan project.
This session is designed to center youth voices and hear directly from young people about their everyday wellbeing and the social, cultural, built, economic, and educational environments that shape their lives. Youth will also share ideas and recommendations for improving their schools and communities.
Volunteers will play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment that encourages meaningful youth participation.
Volunteer Responsibilities

Assist with event set-up and clean-up

Help welcome and check in participants

Support facilitation activities and small group discussions

Provide general event support to staff and facilitators

Help ensure youth feel supported and heard throughout the session
