Event Overview:
Join EHCEC for Her Health, Her Power: Women’s Wellness Workshop at San Jacinto College. This event focuses on empowering educators and staff through culturally relevant health education on maternal health, prenatal care, menopause, and hormone regulation. Volunteers will help create an engaging and welcoming environment that ensures a smooth event experience for all participants.
Volunteer Role:
As a volunteer, you will help bring this workshop to life by assisting with event setup (arranging tables/chairs, preparing sign-in sheets, setting up materials, and organizing wellness resources), welcoming and registering attendees as they arrive, supporting logistics during the workshop including distributing food, educational materials, and activity supplies, helping facilitate practical engagement activities for staff, taking photos to capture key moments, and assisting with event wrap-up and clean-up.
Objectives & Goals:
Provide faculty, staff, and student workers with culturally relevant health education, cover women’s health topics such as maternal health, prenatal care, menopause, and hormone regulation, and ensure accessibility across departments by offering a hybrid format.
