Description:
The East Harris County Empowerment Council's "Hope for the Holidays" event is coming to Sheldon! We're looking for volunteers to help give out turkeys to families so they can enjoy their holiday celebrations. Come join us and spread some holiday cheer!
Event Details:
Event: Hope for the Holidays - Sheldon Turkey Distribution
Date: Saturday, November 23rd, 20234
Event Time: 9AM-1PM (volunteers arrive at 9:00am please for setup instructions and daily plan)
Location: Crenshaw Memorial Stadium, 12642 Tidwell Rd, Houston, TX 77044
What Volunteers Do:
Warmly greet families and assist them during the event
Assist recipients with registering via QR code
Assist with transporting turkeys from their stations to family vehicles
Ensure the event runs smoothly by distributing turkeys to families.
Assist with clean-up after the event
**Note: Volunteers for this distribution are not eligible to receive a turkey. If you are in need of a turkey, we ask that you not volunteer for this particular event.
