EHCEC will be teaching a digital literacy class on April 9th at Heritage Hall. The topic covered will be Protecting Your Personal Information Online.
A few Key Points are as follows:
- Strong Passwords
- Spam
- Phishing
- Social media & more!
EHCEC will provide this class to seniors over the age of 55. The goal of this lecture is to equip Heritage Hall seniors with the knowledge they need to protect themselves online.

Location: Jacinto City Heritage Hall (1025 Oates Rd, Houston, TX 77029)
Volunteer Tasks:
-Arrive at least 15 minutes before the event and expect to leave 15 minutes after the event ends
-Distribute digital equity surveys using tablets
-Marketing (Take photos)
-Record testimonials (Digital literacy)
-Help guarantee attendees sign-in
-Help set-up table/EHCEC tablecloth/local resources
-Spanish translator (optional)

Additional Note (Optional):
We are looking for a bilingual volunteer who would be able to help translate the slides to Spanish during the presentation. Trainer guide will be provided.
