Event Overview:
Join EHCEC for Her Health, Her Power: Women’s Wellness Workshop at San Jacinto College. Volunteers will help create an engaging and welcoming environment that ensures a smooth event experience for all participants.

Volunteer Role:
As a volunteer, you will help bring this workshop to life by assisting with event setup (arranging tables/chairs, preparing sign-in sheets, setting up materials, and organizing wellness resources), welcoming and registering attendees as they arrive, supporting logistics during the workshop including distributing food, educational materials, and activity supplies, helping facilitate practical engagement activities for staff, taking photos to capture key moments, and assisting with event wrap-up and clean-up.

Objectives & Goals:
Provide faculty, staff, and student workers with culturally relevant health education, cover women’s health topics such as maternal health, prenatal care, menopause, and hormone regulation, and ensure accessibility across departments by offering a hybrid format.

Volunteers will play an essential role in creating a smooth and engaging experience for attendees.

Volunteer Role:
As a volunteer, you will help bring this event to life by:

Assisting with event setup (arranging tables/chairs, preparing sign-in sheets, setting up wellness kits, placing flyers, and organizing educational materials).

Welcoming and registering attendees as they arrive.

Supporting logistics during the workshop, including distributing food, wellness kits, and resource packets.

Helping facilitate interactive activities and guiding attendees through stations.

Taking photos to capture key moments.

Assisting with event wrap-up and clean-up.

Event: HPV Vaccine Educational Session & Mobile Screenings

Event Overview:
Tu Salud, Tu Poder (Your Health, Your Power) is a community health event focused on empowering women through education, resources, and preventive care. The event will feature an interactive Spanish-language play on HPV prevention, mobile health screenings, and community activities like Mexican Lotería to spark interest and connection.

Volunteer Role:
As an event volunteer, you will play a key role in making the day successful by:

Assisting with event setup and logistics.

Supporting the theater performance (helping the actress with small details as needed).

Helping with registration and welcoming participants.

Assisting with breakfast distribution for attendees.

Sharing information and resources about women’s health.

Taking photos to capture special moments.

Impact:
Volunteers will help educate at least 40 women on cervical cancer, HPV, and available vaccines/resources, while promoting overall women’s health and preventive care.

Join us for a full day of health awareness and community engagement at San Jacinto College. The Stay Safe, Stay Smart Wellness Screening Event brings together mobile HIV/STI screening units and education tables to provide students with access to vital health resources.

Volunteer Role:
As a volunteer, you will help create a welcoming and informative environment by:

Assisting with event setup and logistics.

Supporting students as they visit the mobile screening clinic.

Sharing information at EHCEC’s education table about our programs and reproductive health resources.

Encouraging students to participate in screenings and activities.

Helping with crowd flow, materials distribution, and capturing event photos.

Objectives & Goals:

Distribute educational materials and engage with at least 80 students to share information on reproductive health and available community resources.

Support our screening goal of 20 students at the partner mobile clinic.

Increase awareness of EHCEC and available community health programs.

Volunteer Shifts:

Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM (4.5 hours | 3 volunteers)

Afternoon Shift: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM (4 hours | 3 volunteers)

Description
The Early Learning Quality Network (ELQN) Community Carnival is a family-friendly event designed to bring together child care providers, families with children ages 0–8, and community members. The goal is to share resources, highlight the importance of high-quality early education, and build connections that strengthen our community. We are expecting 150–200 attendees from across Harris County.
